Good Evening Trio received a letter of recognition from the Governor of St. Petersburg for “popularizing classical music and for an outstanding contribution to the musical life of the city”.
The duo with the vibraphone player Pavel Chizhik is relatively new, yet the musicians have already gained the reputation of extraordinary innovators. In the programme dedicated to Gershwin one can hear rock improvisations on the theme from Porgy and Bess and Summertime, and the theme from Shostakovich gently interweaves with the piano prelude by Gershwin.
Stanislav collaborates with a number of orchestras and gives concerts both in Russia and abroad. His eclectic thinking, emotionality and musical freedom are characteristic features of his improvisation style.
